DAVID RIGGS is an artist uniquely skilled at delivering art in new mediums. The internet is a natural fit. It combines his love of graphic style and presentation with varied technologies including audio, video and animation.

EARLY YEARS. David grew up in California's Newport Beach. As a child he was immersed in the worlds of art and typography. His Mother was the owner of Sunshine Graphics, a typesetting and graphic design firm behind the success of Newport Life Magazine Moving to Los Angeles in the early 80's David pursued an interest in the martial arts. David is a black belt instructor in the Filipino art of stick and empty hand combat known as Arnis, (Eskrima or Kali). Numerous students benefited from his training when they attended Defience the Academy of Defensive Science in one of two Hollywood locations. While teaching, David kept his artistic skills sharp as a freelance illustrator creating artwork for video packaging and books.

HOLLYWOOD has a unique allure. For David, it was not acting, but filmmaking that next caught his interest. Taking a ground up approach, he earned both Sag and Aftra membership, then moved back to the area he was strongest in: Art. As a result, he spent a large part of his adult life on sound stages and sets as a production designer and prop master. This put him in the enviable position of being able to learn from the best. He quickly acquired skills in lighting, videography and editing. This led to his producing numerous independent shorts, comedies, dramas and documentaries. As the internet bloomed, David's attention was drawn more and more to this new medium that was becoming a meeting point for all these experiences. He quickly mastered the various tools, software and combined these with his artistic skill.

TODAY David is producing web sites and online entertainment while designig for AROA marketing, A premeire direct marketing agency handling Gadget Universe, Gravity Defyer Footwear and numerous online retail and catalog companies..
